Hi,
So I hit already the 60lvl long time ago and I am starting to notice that there is the same problem as in most other games. They all have the feeling the game has gone trough.
But there is always way to make this better... Even they are good in a lot of things already.
I wont talk anything about changing about tune or damage or what they make because that's not ever really the case.
Players like me are always fixated to 3 things.
Exploring / Equipment / Powers.
Lets start with the easiest one. -> Equipment.
Why I think this is critical to players like me. We want to show like we "dream" or we would want to show up in the fantasy land what you guys have created.
Someone wants to look like Drizz't Drow with 2 sabres. For someone else it's Wulfgar the barbarian with his mighty hammer. But as many of the people have only read these books they have made their mind how should these look like.
Now I find out that the equipment selection is not so big. Specially the weapon selection is quite low, Another thing that could be fixed would be that when you hower over weapon it would be nice to see how would the weapon look on top of you. Maybe somekind of inspect "animation" button. In AH or so that you could buy the weapon just because it would be looking cool and and then you could rework your looks based on the info.
In the end there is a lot of people who will spend time to get their character look like they want them to be also that would probably increase the amount of dyes which are sold from the shop. Adding a lot of increased income for you guys.
Also It would be nice to have extreme rare drops and even unique's. Lets say having a wondering monster in some map where you could kill it and it drops equipment that ain't possibly a lot better than what are the very rare drops but when the monster is killed the same equipment would't drop. These equipment sometimes cause unbalance in games but this can be done in different ways. Lets say you need to collect pieces to create weapon , when you have gathered these pieces you need to apply to the weapon of your liking in some big list. Then the list would be also posted in internet where everyone can see these special equipment. If the player who has got this equipment don't play for 1 month he will be "turned" into non-player character which then can be found wondering somewhere in
map and could be "killed" -> the unique equipment can be then reclaimed to new character who can then proudly show it of... If the killed player know that he has maybe possibility to lose this equipment that will also make him play more maybe.
Another thing with those unique equipment's would be that you would also lose them if you are not active player. As lets say these equipments would posses a soul. To keep these equipments you would need to make certain tasks to keep the armour / weapon happy so it would be also work. Well others can give more ideas how it could be done.
Then the other point, Exploration which I think its quite limited after you hit lvl 60. There is not much to see or do than farm. Well I remember also my old favorite game that it didnt have much more than farming after hitting lvl 60. But there was something more interesting , You could run from city to another and there would always be something to find there , well sometimes it was a whole army of players who wanted to kill you and sometimes just it was couple of sheep's standing next to the road. Well my idea would be that as here the whole map is not possible to open what I can see about the game aspects and that its possible to add modules that are quite small.
Then the idea would be other, please could you add streets (Random street generator or fixed streets) from city to other. You could select if you want to go directly to someplace to other or you could select taking street. In street there could be possible street thiefs, there could be that there is not nothing. In streets there would be other rules than in "cities". It would be possibly to have player wars there and the players could go there alone or in groups. Could have a wars between guild's.
Also it could be nice to be able guilds to purchase "small" dwellings in roads. Example Guild can purchase a tavern with gold what they have gained from players. in tavern they could sell their wares example what their blacksmiths can produce and also other players could visit them. The biggest taverns then would come as "map" points.
Guilds could show their "powers".
In the taverns it would be again safe to players to be and to purchase. The guild could use the guilds gold reserves to buy everything for that tavern. Maybe even creating more "player" city type of possibilities.
Also of course as this is Free to play and that would need some serious coding there would be possibly to players have their own rooms in guild taverns. In the rooms they could buy with zen example Paintings, Beds, Chests, etc. What ever the ideas might bring.
Third and the last idea to which I am actually already quite happy is the power system which is here as I see how easily it could be changed to more interesting way. Just adding there example for rogue new subs, where you can strangle your opponent or might be nice to have possibility to steal from some ones purse money. Or guardian fighter could be changed to that there would be axe - shield , sword - shield, pike - shield and for these everything would be own skills and the weapons that the graphics would be like it should be. So subclasses is what I am looking for.
