Add surrender vote and stop leaving

People are leaving from pvp immediately if they are going to lose, one leaves and others follow. This is not nice for the winning team that, although gets all the glory reward, but the whole team needs to wait there 10 minutes doing nothing.

This could be easily changed by preventing players for leaving the pvp match and by adding surrender vote possibility. When team surrenders, the match ends for all. What do you think?

This won't fix all the issues, but in my opinion would give us slightly better pvp experience than currently.

Have the feeling if this was added, almost every single match would end in surrender rather than playing out. Don't get me wrong it's frustrating when people leave, but don't you think it would be better if instead they just fixed the que system so matches could actually be back filled when someone leaves? Or even perhaps have some sort of matching system that matches at least class for class in matches rather than just some seemly random class makeup.

If people got credit for the daily pvp quest they would create /quit groups and queue up for quick AD rewards.

    That sort of already happens.

Know why people leave? many reasons.

Why stick around when you are losing? Waste of time.
Some leave if they are losing because they know it annoys the winners...like you.
Winners dont win with respect most of the time. they gloat. I am guessing you are like that.
The user realized pvp is lame and left to go do dungeons like they should.

I don't mind, makes the match go faster and counts for daily whether you win/lose.

1.) Restrict Surrender to a time limit, needing a certain amount of points, and to be behind a certain amount of points.
2.) Surrender disqualifies you from getting credit for daily pvp.

People frustrated enough to leave will just afk instead. Solves very little imo.

They should really put a timeout penalty for quitters. Put a 15-30 minutes debuff where they can't re-queue for pvp if they quit in the middle of the match. This would stop deserters. Oh make the buff icon say "Yellow Bellied Coward" for laughs or maybe change their appearance into a chicken. Well right now the respawn spot is non-combat maybe push them out of the area if they are staying in the "safe" area for too long.

I really like the Vote Surrender option too. If 3 out of 5 voted to surrender then the match ends immediately. To prevent abuse if the game just started then nobody gets anything.

Instead of a penalty for leaving you should just penalize the losing team. Once you leave, you are losing...AKA, you are penalized. Now the penalty....large reduction in glory that you already have (this is awarded to the other team) to the point you can even go negative (at this point, other penalties are applied to prevent cheating so keep reading the different options), half hitpoints for an hour, cut in stats for an hour....pick one or make another one, so long as the losing team suffers. See...this option penalizes the losing team by making them want to try harder to win...who ever wins isn't penalized and this includes the losers that think "Hey, maybe we will make a huge comeback at the last quarter!" but still end up failing (basically, the guys who think under dogs are going to win will now realize...if you lose you lost, quitters and the dudes sticking around to "Fight the good fight").

Problem solved....now when you que up you know full **** well you will have to try to win no matter the outcome...don't win this match, now the other team is going to love you since 1) You are giving them even more glory out of your own pocket and 2) You will be a massively easier target to kill (aka, if you que up after losing....you are going to lose). No one should ever be awarded for losing (lol runner up prizes, what are you 6 years old?) and now you know...you cannot always win, but someone has to lose and it should be a painful ball busting experience.

Would make queuing time insanely long. Few people know how to play a cleric in pvp. Most of them just do it for the daily. Are you sure you really want to wait for 30 mins or so to start a match?

So, surrender when the winning team reaches 950 so that they don't get anything? Nice griefing tool. I love when people come out with overly complex ideas which would make the game a real pain to play if you give such features to the average room temperature IQ player.

PvP is fine as it is. A 1h leaver penalty meaning NO queue (pve or pvp) would be more than enough.

This is odd. I change my post saying if they surrender at the start of the game then nobody gets everything. The forum is getting wonky I guess my latest change didn't get applied.

I've seen many stupid ideas in my time, but this, good sir, is without doubt one of the top five most idiotic. Kudos. Unless you are deliberately trying to stop all PvP in this game, in which case bravo. This idea will succeed in that beautifully.

Alt tabbing at the campfire completely negates your leaver penalty :D

if you penalize people for leaving they will just AFK.

there are many things they can do, and have done already, but only up to a point.

it's PLAYER vs PLAYER - it's only as good as the players make it out to be. if the players want to make it suck, not very much PW can do about that..

anyway this is a PVE game with PVP tacked on for lulz. if you start treating it that way you'll have a lot less stress. personally I only PVP for the dailys, and if my team is getting facerolled because we had 1-2 people quit (or just sux0rz) I just laugh and have fun with it - or I just AFK at the campfire and take a lil break until the match is over. no big.

if you want a real competitive PVP game go play Quake3 or something.
