Flexible initial ability roll distribution for a tiefling char?

I'm making a new CW , and I was "brainstorming" the roll allocation for being able to take any kind of build approach on future respecs, as the initial rolls are the only thing you cant change after.
I mean, a more balanced stat dsitribution that can be minmaxed after for a more damage approach for example (if you have the feel to go renegade pew pew to say something for a while), or focusing more on cooldowns / ignoring cha on another respec for a future more control focus (chill opressor fixed anyone? )

Giving a lot of thought the "jack of all trades" rolls seems to me an INT/WIS/CHA of 16/14/14 , or 17/14/13, they can be forced to have a charisma of 21 / 22 which is already enough to go heavy on crit paired with some good crit stat, or a good heavy investing of int/wis if u have the feel of depending how t2 / future content demands it like a 24/20/18 or 25/20/17.
How you see this rolls opposed to the "standart" 18/13/13 ? the 16/12/16 is a bit extreme for my taste, int/wis can fall a little short if you decide to go for heavy control stat build (24/18 int/wis max), and crit can be raised already high enough on the other setups

It seems like a silly issue to give lot of thought about, but is the only real thing you will not be able to change after ... thoughts?
Feel free to share your ideas about initial rolls regarding CW in general.

Max INT, max CHA unless you want to be a support controller (than max WIZ and go elf/human). Benefits from stats not affected by diminishing: +1 CHA gives you exact +1% of crit and other stuff.

    INT/WIS/CHA/DEX/CON/STR

This is ranked according to the difficulty of obtaining these stats, mainly Crit Rating and Combat Advantage, from any other sources:

    1. 16/12/16/10/10/10 (all out on crit + Combat Advantage).

    2. 16/13/15/11/11/9 (balanced with crit + Combat Advantage. Secondaries: compromise a little on Stamina to gain HP).

    3. 16/14/14/11/10/10 (balanced with AP + recharge. Secondaries: bonus to Deflection).

    4. 18/13/13/8/10/10 (all out damage + recharge. Secondaries: compromise on Deflection and aoe damage resist, i.e. nothing significant).

+2 to INT and +2 to CHA for future-proofing.

Then on Live as the game is now, put the respeccable points into WIS and rest into INT, or at least make sure you are not playing with less than 17 WIS (you will certainly notice the difference).

At some point, the admins have hinted that they are interested in removing excessive need for control in instances like ledging/pushing everything everywhere. In which case, aoe damage builds may become more important. With the above initial rolls you will not gimp yourself, and can just respec into max CHA later. Of course, by that time, perhaps respect tokens will allow base ability score re-rolls...

2% damage bonus or recharge speed increase difference is very rarely noticeable, with the possible exception if you mainly or only pvp and are already an elite pvp'er and have a lag-free connection. This is one of the reasons why many players roll 16/12/16 or even other builds, mainly for pve, and because Critical Strike rating has such a low Diminishing Return point that maximising Crit via Ability Scores seems an obvious choice.

I personally would not go with anything lower than 24 INT total (without buffs) though, it is too difficult to make that back up with the painfully weak Power stat.

Note. I am not absolutely sure that all three of the above specific rolls are possible on a Tiefling, since I never tried to get all of them. But in general only very very few rolls are restricted across all the classes and races.

There is no current or future content that demands (or will demand), any sort of specific ability score. In fact, it's all really a gimmick just to give you the illusion that your choices have consequences. Just build your CW how you imagine you will be playing it.
