Great weapon fighter is basicly a barbarian or could be a path under the fighter classes

I vote for warlord (we need another healer class), swordmage (we need moar tanks), and sorcerer (AoE DPS). Coincidentally, these are my favorite classes.
I don't know what half of them are, but I want them anyway

Although warlock wasnt in the list and swordmage is my second choice, i still want a lock most so i voted other. I really think getting classes out should be cryptics top priority, as i would be more than happy to spend money on this game if the class i want was there to spend it on. Until i have my lock or possibly swordmage im not spending money on a character that i wont play as soon as i have my main. I also imagine a lot of other ppl are in the same boat.

Cut with the ******y BS. Not all of us are DnD (or Diablo) nerds. What the hell would the difference be between a GWF and a barbarian since you seem to smug about it??

Alright, I'll explain then, but it's not gonna make a difference because you guys don't care about it anyways.
Fighter is a class, their role is to be a Defender.
Defender: Defenders focus on blocking attacking enemies and focusing their attacks on themselves. Defender classes are typically focused on melee combat, however some classes such as Swordmages also have ranged combat capabilities.
A Great Weapon Fighter is a build option of the Fighter's class; Unlike the GF they resist less damage but deal more damage, doing more AoE damage.
A Barbarian is a class, their roles is to be a Striker.
Striker: Strikers are focused on mobility, dealing heavy damage to single targets and avoiding attacks. Some Striker classes and builds are focused towards either melee or ranged combat, however the role as a whole is not.
Anyways, the barbarian can't be a paragon path of a fighter like that guy said, hence the meme. Although, and I agree there, cryptic should have added the Rageblood Barbarian, instead of the crappy GWF.
If hope that you understand a bit more now.

Okay I do, but you seem to be basing that on the DnD tt game (I assume). That's not how it's working out in this game. It seems that the GWF has taken over the role of a barbarian for all intents and purposes. Whether that's true to the tt game or lore is a different argument.

Well, that's probably because of all the QQ about how underpowered was the GWF. In NWN Curse wiki, they added the role of the GWF, the role is "damage dealer and defender secondary", which in my opinion should be more like: Defender (Primary), Melee AoE.
If in the future they add the barbarian, or the 2h version of the paladin, I really wonder if anyone will play GWF.

i love paladins XD now i am a GF but if paladin is implemented i will start over as paladin more defende than GF and probably also more healing a true tank probably will be a really good to take over AoE and lots lots of damage XD and also it will probably have some good control AoE skills this can be anothe GF path or a total new class
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...

For 'other' I would like to see a necromancer since you specifically said, "other than ranger, warlock...". Otherwise paladin.
Also, instead of shaman you should have put there the Barbarian.

Occam's Razor makes the cutting clean.
NW-DNZTNE2SA -A Hell Under the City
NW-DOG5LREQJ-Necro Master's Last Breath
Sorcerer - Less crowd control than 'control wizard' but much more damage, focusing more on fire and lightning than ice and arcane.
Bard - Buffing / healing / crowd control / melee damage; you name it they can do it, just not as well as others.
Monk - I would love to see a hand-to-hand class in NWO, and monks could easily be made into a good mix of melee and support.
Druid - I want one just so I can see call lightning and earthquake in pvp, not to mention back-up healing.
Pale Master - Time to bring out the summoner classes, I say, and what's with a little necromancy and life draining to back it up?
GWF must change in Barbarian!
After that we need the classics: Bard-Druid-Paladin ... I don't like it to much Monk but it shall be well accepted.
After, after and after that I hope to see developed the Hybrid class (longevity enhancer).
P.S. : Paragon Paths(3) for all classes ASAP, please!
Bye all

Also need to put wardens on that list. Wardens (primal defender) could be done really well in this game.
