location says neverwinter

hi there my friends location just says neverwinter and his status is blank, is this some setting?

    Helpful post as always I see, didn't you follow your own advice already? if so, how come you keep coming back to make such helpful posts?

    As to the original post, I think that when it just says "Neverwinter", it usually means that they are at either the Character Select screen, or on a different shard... but I could be wrong.

    if you press 'O' in-game and click on the preferences button in the lower right hand corner of the "Social" window, you will see some options including your status. you can set yourself up as looking for a party with the automatic party option, just looking for a party and not looking. you can also set your online visibility.

    As for your friend's location being "neverwinter" he is probably on a different shard. they have plans to join all three shards to make a single shard (or "server") but when that is, i don't know. i thought it was going to happen with the launch but as we can see, that didn't happen.
