grand regent set for guardian fighter

Currently working on getting this set for my guardian fighter, I was wondering if the grand regent set is really good for a tank spec fighter. I am thinking it is due to the 20 percent to power from the over all defence. Anyhoo what are peeps thoughts? I am trying to get away from the t1 set that every fighter wants the stalwart set, lol a lil tired of looking at that armor.

    it has high defense and deflect for pure tank it is good but your damage will still be low stalwart is still the best if you want high damage

    I kinda hope they do something about the Stalwart set.
    Its stupid that a t1 piece is significantly better than any other t2 piece.

    I actually don't think its the power aspect it is how poorly our Defense and Deflection scales on our sets that hurt so much. If it scaled better our defense feats would be worth more as well and the gap in stats would be wider between the specs.

    Sett bonus is broken not give 1 power ! Stil T1 is better

    I want this set for my "Protector" GF. I use the High Generals on my "Tactician" GF and it is amazing! My "Conquer" GF uses the stalwart set. And yes i have 3 GFs it is my favorite class and i can tank just fine on all 3 =) I do not like the cookie cutter mold for any character class so i like to be different.

    i had this set and its nice* but thats all it is ...i dont like it becouse its capped and you cant go much further with this build since we all know stacking defense over 4k brings you almost nothing in exchange. Even indomitable champion is better becouse of the hp bonus and you get about the same power as with regent.

    anyways i sold 4 piece regent set to the vendor
