Alchemy experimentation in the Gateway

At the moment, if you do an alchemy experimentation task in the gateway, you can see whether you'll get 'alchemical knowledge' in the results BEFORE you actually commit to doing the task.

Is this a bug or even an exploit? If I cancel the experimentation task do the results change for the next attempt?

    Even when it showed it, I don't think I got it... I got the unstable potion and the other 2 boxes were blank showing "Tracker".
    The tasks that require BAK still showed I had zero. :-/

    Are you guys actually getting alchemical knowledge via the gateway? I've tried the rank 2 experimentation 6 times this morning without any luck. Small sample size, obviously, but still seems to be an awfully low proc for just trying to level from 2 to 3.

    Like I said, it shows me getting the potion and 2 other things, but the other 2 boxes are empty...
    I've stopped doing Experimentation until after work when I can check to see if I've actually gotten the BAKs...

    My attempts haven't even shown me getting anything other than the potion, so my issue may just be the RNG hating me :P

    But yeah, I think I'll wait til after work before doing anymore alchemy.

    I'm doing the gathering / refining while at work. May as well stock up. ^_^ And of course hiring more alchemists.

    Keep doing the experimentation. From time to time it rewards you with "Basic Alchemic Knowledge" which you'll then use to complete an "Alchemical Research" and gain a level.
    I'm sure it's not a random drop, but rather a number of completed experiments (thus the "trackers" you'll see with some of your rewards).
    I'm only on level 3, but I'll keep experimenting :)
