I played this. As with Wuhsin's 2 minute map, it's very innovative. I rated it a 5 for innovation and gave max tip. There were a few minor things (the orbs weren't all in exactly the same spot, they tended to move a bit, not all resourced had animations for harvesting).

I've noticed these two minor things. The orbs are all in the same place, but apparently because they overlap it shifts their positions by about one pixel or so. The resources all have animations, but your toon won't perform the appropriate animations when interacting with an object 100% of the time. It's a bug in the game I guess. Anyways, thanks for the review and the tip. You give really good feedback.
Upon closer observation I noticed the real reason the orbs seem to move a tiny bit is because they rotate around an axis which wobbles, sort of like the earth. If you watch them very closely you'll see them actually wobbling around on the axis slowly as they turn.
I suppose I could set aside some time today and do that. I noticed your quest on the list pretty close to mine. We're both getting pretty popular it seems.

This is a great example of what builders can do beyond what is typically seen. I especially liked how you incorporated the iron ore nodes - that was well thought out and added just a touch of variety and a feeling of randomness to the harvesting phase.
I would recommend to other players that they hold off on constructing troops until they have gathered all the resources they intend, as the growing army that follows you around makes things a bit clumsy - though this is hardly a fault that needs to be worked around on the design end. Just something to consider when playing.
My only suggestion is an aesthetic one, and would depend on how many detail points you have to spare: consider adding "construction phases" to the buildings, so as players start dropping timber and stone into the orbs, they start to see scaffolding, support frames, foundations - maybe even workers hammering if you have the NPC spots to spare. Again, this totally depends on what you can still fit in what is clearly an already well populated map - but it would be really cool to see.

I was ecstatic when I saw your review and stellar rating. It means a lot coming from the guy who's Foundry mission sits undisputed at the top of the Best list. Thanks a lot!
So I thought I'd reward myself and the devs by buying a mount with some Zen. Then I did the Cloak Tower today, and got a bunch of spiffy Orc armor. Afterwards, I just had to take a screencap of my rogue and his new mount/gear with my map as the background.
Just played the first one. Awesome job! I got a little creeped out because my toon looks just like Melf (female). I personally loved the resource gathering and building my army of minions. hehe.
Just started the second and wanted to tell you....I just got my kobold slayer title on the first mobs here XD
Edit: Finished second part, now i can't wait for the third! Very nice job on both of these, I enjoyed them greatly.

Thank -you- for an enjoyable time. I was worried about how difficult it would be with everything I'd heard...but I didn't think it was too bad at all! And it was extremely amusing watching the corpses slide down...
I had to dig deep to find this. Ok I got round to playing it. I didn't realize this was your 1st. Anyway. Good quest with some good idea's was gonna one star you because the chest was empty. Then I thought about it and remembered that I'm not an idiot, at least not for this.
For me it was a 4 star. The only thing holding it back was the music. For me it was totally the wrong choice. If I'm playing this kind of quest I'd want happy bouncing music and this just made me want to cut myself.
Apart from that maybe some more combat while collecting materials and I'd like to see more detail like grass and bushes, maybe a crow or two. But these things wouldn't decide my rating.

Yes, sir it is. Make sure you include the NW- at the beginning though. Sorry I forgot to add that last night.

I'll try this tonight, thinking of taking a few hours away from Foundry.
I could fiddle with my maps all night long, but not all of it would be productive.
