Another game that is currently in Beta, that is scheduled for release at the end of August. They just had phase 3 beta this weekend, and does that game ever look beautiful. No, it's not TESO, that looks terrible. But it's not only the looks, its their entire business model, the gameplay, the crafting systems, the combat, the open-worldedness, etc...

It really shows how some companies are leaps and bounds ahead of others. Granted, it took them three attempts to launch this game, but props to SE for never giving up, and being dedicated to delivering an epic final product. Although this game is still in Open Beta, it is MILES ahead of NW in terms of bugs/exploits, playability, released content, among other things. You can really tell they are taking their time with this to ensure a pleasurable experience for all.

I've been touting NW as one of the best up-and coming games of 2013, You can read from my posts, I was always a firm believer. BUT, when I took the time to see how other developers are doing things right now, and went back to my FF roots, I now see the true value of this game: the cash shop. The devs, under direct scrutiny of their 'higher-ups', the publishers, are basically allocating the majority of their time/resources into releasing more content for the Cash Shop, which will be the eventual downfall of this game, along with most other 'F2P' games.

Please take a lesson from other sub-games: make your money that way, instead of your sneaky, under-handed little cash grabs, and focus your development efforts into making an actual fun game, with endless content, fun group mechanics, better boss mechanics, etc... There are SOOO MANY things Cryptic should be working on, but instead release 'ion stone of the OP' for 12.99$ .... It's sickening.

I'll be checking out GG this week, but unless I'm tremendously impressed, I'll be waiting for late August and ARR's grand re-opening. I suggest you guys do a little research and youtubing, you might like what you find.

Well, googling ARR netted me nothing. Is there a reason you're avoiding the name of the game? *boggle*

P.S. I cant u-tube, I'm at work. (forums aren't a part of my home life, just an amusing distraction while I plug away at work stuff)

No other reason then the mods/managers here like to move/close legitimate concerns, like people comparing this game to others in the industry.

Final Fantasy xIv, A Realm Reborn. :)
