Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find info on both together just separate and not the topic XD
I was wondering, I have the Nightmare Dye on my 4p, If I change the Appearance of my Chest and others will it change the chest and keep it dyed, or will the dye come off as well...Dont want to do it coz It cost a bit to re-do XD
The original dye comes off and the new dye is applied.
I applied the free pink dye on my chest to test it out, but it looked too silly, so I bought a pack of red dyes for 200 zen and when I applied it over my chest armor, there was no more pink left over whatsoever.
Besides, you can apply a dye over an armor and see what it looks like in the preview window. You won't waste the dye until you click "Accept"
If, let's say, I dye my chest black. Then I see a different chest that I like the looks of and change the apperance of the one I dyed black to the new one. Does the color stay black? Or does it take on the color of the item I changed the apperance to? I am curious about this as well.
Further I am also wondering if I color chest 1, and then chest 2 is an upgrade. So I change apperanc eof chest 2 to chest 1, does chest 2 take on the original color of chest one or the color I dyed it?

I am pretty sure the item you change appearance to will over-write the colors on the object you are changing.

Fashion slot items can't change the appearance of an armor, so you will need to buy new dyes for your fashion set.
Milla Jovovich(Rogue)/Tilda Swinton(Cleric) - Guild Leader of CatAssTrophy on Beholder
On the plus side, though, since you can just put your Fashion items in your fashion slots, and then switch to fashion view, you don't have to waste a bunch of AD on doing the appearance change on the armor.
(and any further armor you get later)
