Next on "When Dungeons Attack: Trapped in the Dreadmines."
I got trapped in the Dreadmines. It a good homage to WoW's Deadmines, and the bosses were alright. Story was well adapted.
However... THERE WAS NO WAY OUT.
There's no gate where you zone in. My tank logged on unexpectedly just after I started and I was hoping he could join me. No such luck. We had to gather our party for him to zone in. Since there's no way out, we couldn't gather, so he couldn't zone in. I tried logging out and in again. No luck, stuck in the same instance. I carried on, certain there would be a way out after the final boss.
I accidentally skipped a boss, and didn't get the cannon info. I ran back and started killing things in frustration; I simply wanted out. I killed the boss and came back, this time triggering the cannon. I carried on. I found that I pulled both bosses at the end together: died. Still, no freaking escape. Back to pull more cleverly. Killed the bosses. Killed the cook. Got the shiny chest, filled out the survey. Continued on the planks toward the black crevice at the back, as that's roughly the location of the exit in the Deadmines. No sparkles. Ran into the force-wall of black there. Started looking for ANY OTHER FREAKING ESCAPE. None. Killed every single mob I could find. I ran back to the boat and threw myself at everything until I finally fell into the water on the back side of the ship; and there's no way up from that area that I (or a couple of other people that grabbed up my mouse) could find.
I finally tried to use a teleport scroll. Only then did I realize I was still partied up with my buddy, who had been "rejoining" me in his own effort to help me out. Gah! Without being able to gather, I had to stop the teleport, leave the party and burn another teleport.
So, a perfectly fine dungeon experience became an exercise of frustration. There was probably a glitch in the zoning mechanism of some sort; that buddy of mine ran the dungeon and located the exit exactly where I thought it was and he knows he didn't kill nearly what I had. Ironically, he'd finished his instance and physically came over to my computer to help me escape.
It seems probable that Foundry dungeons are going to be glitchy. I'd like to know how to escape back to productive game-time when problems occur. The question now: How does one get unstuck from an area with no exit?

If grouping and zoning issues are known that's a Foundry Fail that needs to be addressed.
