So i have 2 characters on one account, is it against the rules too put an item on the AH and have my other character buy it to transfer the AD from my other character?

No. Its a workaround, your not cheating the system in any way.

No, but you'll save yourself the AH fee by just creating an offer on the zen exchange then cancelling it. The AD can then be withdrawn by your other character.

Edit: This also works across shards, if needed.

Why bother with this method? Just put an insane bid that no one in their right mind will fill like selling 25 Astral Diamonds per Zen and cancel the bid. The bid will go to your general Astral Diamond balance and you can claim it on your other character. If someone actually fills your bid, then you have profited extremely well.

it is someone else has already placed a bid. Use the AD - Zen exchange instead.
