Daring shout = useless when soloing since the "marked" debuff disappears once mobs have their attention to you. I guess it's a decent dungeon/party skill.
Oh so they fixed it. I think you should get some help in order to defeat it then.
Daring shout is actually -really- useful, not for the marks, but for the damage resistance, hitting 3 drow warriors in the whispering caverns netted me a ~19% DR buff, it's got a 5 target cap, increases the DR buff for every target hit, and the DR buff scales based on the strength of the target hit, so on mini-bosses with adds, it's actually like a secondary unstoppable in terms of DR.

Yeah it's a dungeon/party skill... not good for soloing...
2 deaths. One to about a billion spiders, and one to the four ghosts in the end caverns. I dunno what developer thought 'You know, if we put a GF, TR, CW, and DC on one person, and a hireling, that'd be a fair and fun fight.' Overall, though, I enoyed the valley, and it was nice having miniboss fights with no adds.
From 53-55 I maxed Crescendo, which has replaced AoS, so that I have a good, single target, daily. I've also maxed out Student of the Sword.

GWF is very fun, still!
I thought it was more or less a tooltip fix than a direct buff. No?
