making npcs appear to fight, conditional dialogue trees

So I'm making a map where you approach two groups of npcs. You are supposed to choose which side to help. When you choose a side, the other group of npcs is replaced by hostiles with the same look.

The problem is I can't make them appear to be fighting each other when they are approached, they are all just standing around and it is rather boring looking.

Also is there a way to have less than 3 or 4 npcs in an encounter? I've been moving the spares I don't need to the edge of the map, but I am worried that might cause aggro or combat issues and it would be nice to just not have them because of the npc count.

And how do i make an elite for an end-boss?

    You can give them certain animations, but I don't think you can make them appear to be fighting
    I don't think you can create specific amounts of enemies unless you do the trick you mentioned where you move them to the edge of the map or a different part of the map
    You can't create bosses
    The Foundry has a lot of stuff you can't do, sorry
