Even though ive put a lot of work into my character I wouldn't mind a full wipe, as long as they re-fund my zen ive spent so I can spend it again. Its a good idea to launch the game w/o the exploits, but if it means im out of 520$ ive bought in zen. Then id leave an never consider playing another cryptic game.
i am not an exploiter but i say just do a rollback and ban the offenders. The reason why is because we just had that AD weekend and i saved up a tidy sum that i dont want to have to redo all over again
This game is currently open "Beta." This game has not officially launched. While in its "Beta" stage, there is always the "hazard" of the game being totally "wiped" or "started over" before or when the game officially launches for any given reason. Not sure how many people out there actually been apart of beta testing/playing a game before the official launch, but this has and always will be the "hazard" of playing a game while it is in its beta/ before it officially launches.
This exploit has apparently been floating around for a while, in fact, I have seen a few auctions sitting on minus bids over this past week but i figured my game was just being a bit glitchy. Now with the events of today, I realize that this is a lot more serious than people think. If this has been going on for a week, imagine how much illegitimate AD has been traded around. The economy will not recover from this for a long time and unfortunately, newer players will be affected by massively unfair prices.
This entire situation would require a roll back of at least a few weeks to be safe, although i wouldn't throw out the possibility of an entire wipe. At least a wipe would remove all speculation about a broken economy.

This fixes nothing, being this bug has been in the game for WEEKS, if not even in closed beta. It was abused by the few until someone posted it on the interwebs, then it went crazy. This explains alot this weekend, I would inspect players doing random /bgs (especially if that player was wtf destorying people)...Like 12K dmg in a lvl 30 bg. The mage had epic enchants, that accounted for MORE stats than I had on my gear, let alone his gear. This was Friday night, which made me actually stop playing my cleric, nothing like getting 2 shot every match
Phigmnent...I must remind myself it is most likely you are a child and therefore should limit my response. This is a Pay to Win game, not a Play for Free game. If it was play for free you would not have to spend $6 just to respec your character, or $2 just to insure those enchants you want to fuse will succeed (up to level 6, you have to spend 10 if you want a level 7 enchant). Play for free should not give someone the ability to surpass another simply because he has the income to do so.
Being it is a Pay to Win , some people have the money to pay to win and the willingness to do. Why must the mage or the warrior who had the Epic Enchants on the Armor be Exploiters? There is no reason A person could not buy Zen , change it to diamonds for a slight loss, and turn around and purchase the lower level enchants , fuse them to make higher level enchants until he had level 7 enchants. You want a play for free go find another game, you want a Pay to Win , well you are in the right game.
Everyone had the same opportunity as everyone else to see what kind of game it was prior to putting any effort into it. The fact that you chose to put forth effort AFTER SEEING the cash shop , takes away any right you have to complain about the system.
Exploiters should be caught and permanently banned , allowing a slap on the wrist just encourages more. Nuking a community for a few sad individuals will not be economically feasible for them either.
Hmm. If the company decides on a wipe then so be it. If they decide to wipe without refunding zen purchases I'd be somewhat upset. On the other hand, if I lose my 43 cleric and GET a refund I'll probably play a different class. If I lose my main and don't get a refund Cryptic has seen the last of my cash. Time will tell. No sense getting annoyed before we know anything concrete.
