I can confirm this, Avast keeps deleting Neverwinter.exe

I can only download a new one if I disable it.

    Edit:
I could restore the file from Maintenance->Virus Chest in Avast. I still have to disable Avast to run it though.
The virus found is "FileRepMalware", no further description. I submitted a False Positive report.

Yeah, I'm getting a "FileRepMalware" message with Avast! and can't even launch the game. Not sure who's at fault with this one; Avast! has been known to screw up with false positives from time to time.

Yeah just had the same problem
For Avast go to Expert Settings>Exclusions and add the cryptic folder location

I'm also having this issue with Avast Internet Security (program version 8.0.1483, definition version 130524-0). For the time being, the only way for me to run the launcher is to add its file location to the Avast exclusions list. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Yeah can't do anything. Even when I put the file location in Exclusions it still removes it.

Folks with Avast can go in to Settings and Global Exclusions and seelct the entire Directory for Cryptic and then Download the new EXE make a new shortcut and start the game normally ( make sure to disabled Avast before downloading the exe back in the neverwinter folder)

Avast flagged Neverwinter.exe as malware and deleted the executable. What has changed? I played Neverwinter last night so my guess is that Avast updated its virus definitions today and something about Neverwinters executable sent up a red flag.
    **edit***
This could just be an issue with my machine but after getting this flagged I dropped down to a boot level virus scan... Avast found ransomware on my machine infected file MIGSTATE.DAT, specifically Win32:Reveton-QB.

There are long posts in the bug forum.

Long and the short of it, you can do a few things.
    1. Follow the workaround posted in bugs
    2. If you haven't deleted your installation files, run setup.exe again and it will just download/update the patcher.
    3. Disable Avast (or add to global ignore list in avast...although, mind you, this hasn't worked for everyone).
