In my ideal world, everything is free for me and people treat me like a king. Please make this happen! It's possible but some people just don't want to. I don't understand why. :<

Yes, we've all heard the hilarious strawman argument. Have anything constructive to add?
In my ideal game, respecs should be virtually free. Thinking of and experimenting with different builds comprises a huge portion of my enjoyment in a game like this.
Can you at least reduce the cost of Feats right away? I'm almost 60 and barely have enough to respec once. Maybe some AD sink is fine through Feats, but right now it is ridiculous.
Come up with a better model then making a money pit out of one of the most fun things you can do in the game. Give me a lifetime respec and I'll take it.
Unlike other games, Neverwinter tries to get you to make concrete decisions about what you choose. I think the problem is that the lack of warning that the changes are very concrete unless you pay for a token to change it is missing.
You can trade AD for Zen to buy a token (Around 100-150k AD). I don't think it should be free, but maybe cheaper (200 Zen?).
Profile name / Ingame handle: @FearGXxD
Shard: Mindflayer
Characters: Grim, Rune, Holy, Ruin - If the name isn't the @FearGXxD handle, it's not me!
shouldnt be free at all if you dont want to pay just delete and start a fresh
Yes, by all means give the finger to new players who join after the game has gone "live". Tell them "Hey, don't like it, tough. Fork over the cash or reroll the character you've likely spent hours and hours playing, especially since you can't transfer your AD to a new character. Suck it up, loser."

That's not the problem. The problem is their philosophy (if it's true) about concrete decisions. It's something I fundamentally disagree with. I'm well aware there were costs. I just want them changed period.
Else what is going to or happening already is that some people will just level multiple characters to enjoy different specs. If that is going to happen like in d2 then I question how that is interesting or fun in anyway? At the same time even in d2 with no respec at all, trying different builds was obviously a fun thing to do.
The fact is that even strict games with no respecs, people still talk about and have fun discussing builds. This is why I don't understand why people still continue to make respeccing such a difficult task. It really flies in the face of what players often talk about and have fun with.
Why even make different builds available? You might as well make a separate class for each paragon path then.
I also think that respec should be ingame money not cash shop money. something like giving ingame respec some cooldown like week or couple to support cash shop respecs.
at least in dnd feats and powes are described well so you know what each actually does and can plan and are easier to keep in mind. Also they all work and have visible effect. and 4e did make respeccing lot easier in game rules, but then again this is mmo not dnd
there`s no cash shop ;p yes if you want it fast just buy, but doesn`t need to, can just get it by playing too.

Personally, I'd love in respeccing, and most of other things were more along this price range. It would still take a while to earn the AD to buy them, but they wouldn't be so astronomically expensive (with in-game currency) that it all just feels exploitive and disingenuous. People who are adverse to actually playing the game would still pay money for the convenience of simply having things giving to them, and the would probably pay more if the prices were a little cheaper. The idea isn't that they should be "free", but that they should be reasonably attainable.
Am I the only one who rolls their eyes when people say "perfectworld want to make speccing points a concrete decision!!" No, they don't. If they did, there would be no respecs period. What they want is money, which is fine; they are a business after all. I just think the game would do better if the AD/Zen prices were a bit more practical. Yes you can technically buy anything in the game with in-game currency, but you can also technically walk from New York to California. Doesn't mean it's an actual viable option.

I'm sure they'll stick around for a long time.
