So I'm having a hard time deciding which of those to buy , I'm a control Wizard so the cat's critical bonus sounds nice , but having Ioun stone of alure will give me 3 extra equipments + 3 enchants - kinda tempting , What do you say fellas?

Stone. Plus it is much cheaper to purchase.

Cat all the way. It looks adorable and it has all the right slots for runs and gear. I heard getting the full gear benefits from the gear that's in the cat is supposed to be a bug, but until they fix it, if it's a bug, I'll keep on using the cat.
The cat and the stone are identical in function with regards to the equipment/runestones, it's only the passive bonuses they give that differ. I have the cat on a couple alts and the stone on the rest. The stone is cheaper.
The cat grants better crit which is more helpful initially, but I figured in T2 you'd be hitting all sorts of DR and power, although a pretty lackluster stat, does not seem (seem b/c I've only hit ~6K so far) to have any DR. So it'll make my gear selections a little easier.
Well, between cat and ioun I think the choice, stat wise, boils down to wanting a waist or an icon slot, as well as higher crit/recovery, or lower crit/recovery with the addition of some power.
The ioun is cheaper, yes, but the difference isn't all that big. In the end, you should pick what you like the most and feel the most confortable with I think.
I picked the Ioun stone because it reminds me of good old times in PnP with friends, and because it makes more sense from a mere "In-character" point of view. Seriously, what kind of heartless monster brings a cat along while going to battle your random dragon/demon/uglyabysscreatureofwhatever? You should be ashamed!

So for me, Ioun stone.
