Opening a door via a Lever/Switch/Button?

What would be the best way to accomplish this? I can't find any levers/switches/buttons in the foundry.

Basically, what i want to do is to have a door open when a lever, switch or button is used. There are plenty of levers throughout the Cryptic maps, am'i just not looking in the right place?

Thanks!

There are no levers/switches/buttons in Foundry. You have to use something else.

And you can't make something open the doors. You can only make it possible to open the doors after using something on the map.

    That sucks :(

I thought the foundry pretty much had everything present in the game itself. Oh well, time to find an alternative.

What I've done is place the Axe images where the blade is in the floor and the handle is visible and angled or the spear trap image with the handle sticking up out of the floor. Set it to a dialog rather than an interact and if they choose to "flip the lever" I disappear that one, appear a second one at an opposite angle, dissappear the door, and appear either an unlocked version, open version or just removed.

It's not perfect but until they decide we deserve more legos it's what we have to work with.

    It doesn't.
Bosses, a number of monsters, rooms that go up/down, the ability to add treasure chests or control what's in the end quest chest, the ability to add resource nodes, working music... The list goes on.

Could always fake it. I imagine placing a torch backwards mostly into a wall would look like a lever, and then could place an invisible interact field on it. Then upon use have the non interactable door replaced with one they can open. Or if you want the lever to open the door could just make it disappear altogether.

You can have a book in room A and when it is interacted with have the sound of a door opening then zombies coming out and attacking everyone. Have an NPC named Barbara and say to them: "There coming to get you, Barbara!"

    Sorry... BRAAAAIIIIINS

Thanks for the ideas :) Still a lot to wrap my head around with what's possible and what's not.

Not specifically what you are asking, but keys are definitely possible, in lieu of levers.

I kept looking for a lever and finally realised that a key would work just as well.

all you need is an objective chain that looks vaguely reminiscent of:

kill monster -> interact with chest (drops key) -> unlock door (consumes key).

Again, thats a placeholder, if you're really set on a lever - but will do the trick :)

1.) Set quest objective to interact with object.
2.) Set door to unlock after objective has been completed.

I don't know if there are levers in the editor, but any pole would work just as well.
