"A Dark Heart" - Part I: "Duskmoor and the Pit" by @Dthorsson

Short Code: Campaign - NWS-DTFFM8VP6, Quest - NW-DGOYGTA9D
Mission Type: Story focus and medium frequency combat, with varied settings and detailed scenery, true to D&D lore (as much as possible), and some humor for good measure
Average Duration: 28 minutes
Amount of Combat: Medium to medium-high in some places
Starts at: Protector's Enclave courtyard

Mission Summary:
"After Rosie Duskmoor's husband, George, died both suddenly and mysteriously, she spared no expense desperately seeking answers. At last, she found a seeress who, after relieving Rosie of her and her late husband's entire lives' wealth, gave her an answer; George had been sucked into the pit one of the Nine Hells, the reason unknown.

Desperate to confirm this gut-wrenching news and to seek answers as to why her poor George had been wronged so, Rosie has pledged her last possession, a priceless family heirloom, to the hero so brave as to venture into the Nine Hells to find her George."

Author tips/hints: This can be challenging solo, and is easy with two or more players. Potions are always helpful. Players will enjoy the mission more if they allow themselves to be immersed in the story. (More quests to come later.)

My original intent was to mainly tell a story; but since a lot of the fun is in vanquishing enemies, I tried to add as many appropriate combat opportunities as possible to strike a balance between the lore and combat/experience gain. I also tried to make varied choices with the dialogues, so as to not force a player down a certain line of conversation. My plan is to add even more conversation options at a later time, although this will be merely for flavor, and won't affect the quest outcome.

I've had a ton of fun making this Foundry mission. I've changed a lot of things around since the first publish, and I think it's finally in a place where it can be submitted for featuring. I truly hope everyone who tries it out enjoys it as much as I have. Constructive feedback is always appreciated. Thanks, everyone. :o
