I do understand that I am pro subscription
while other people hate it, I just wanted to
have a discussion why you think one is better
than the other.
It seems like almost every new MMO is F2P, I have no
idea why people would prefer that instead of
having a complete game, which will give support
to their paying customers.
I really don't like the feeling, its f2p
they owe you nothing, for me an MMO take a lot
of time investments and I would much rather have
a serious support team with in game GMs that can
actually fix small things for you in a couple of
hours. The number of support/developer needed to
support the game would probably be easier to
calculate and afford if players subscribed.
It seems like the F2P business model is used as
an excuse for not having to be responsible for
anything.
The cash shop for me is something I probably wont use,
except for storage and character slot.
The reason is not the prices in the shop, it
is more about the feeling I get when I find something in
a game, that feeling wont be there if I just grab my
visa card to reward myself.
p2W I don't really care too much about that, some
say it is some say its not, however if there would
ever be cash shop items like weapons and such
that were a lot better,
that would probably make me turn away from this game.
I do understand that by conversion you "could" get
all? the item without having to use your cash, but
I do think that the ammount of currency that will
be needed when more people reach 60 will make this
almost impossible. Also someone needs to use
his/her cash before you can get those items for
something else than cash.
It seems like bugs and other things are a lot less
likely to be corrected in the F2P model, I might be
wrong, but why not just create a lot of fluff for
people to buy instead of fixing issues.
I really like the gameplay of this game
a lot, it is just hard to invest a lot of time
into this, when you have the feeling, I really
hope that things do go wrong with my account,
because they owe me nothing.
