So as you move up in gear quality and enchantment quality the cost to re socket skyrockets. I'm saying like quarter-million or more AD for high end enchants on top level gear.

I feel with the high cost of enchants themselves the cost to re socket should be far far lower, like max out at 5k AD per slot.

The cost of enchants is unlike anything I've ever seen in a video game I've played before. The cost to swap enchants should be minimal, right now you could spend millions of AD to test out different enchant set ups.

That is not right in my opinion.

Edit to add: the other killer point is each time you upgrade a pc of equipment you have to pull out the enchantment to put into the new piece. Right now the enchantments are so far out of touch with reality I don't even know what to say.

Yes they should treat it like every other game you slot it you lose it. Unless WoW change how they did it you couldn't remove gems once you added them.

I agree. Either don't allow us to take out enchantments, or lower the prices way down. I think I'd rather buy another enchantment than pay to take it off.

Slotting costs nothing. Taking the mod out is the ADs that it mentions.

Unless you are rocking t2 epics I wouldn't even be wasting my AD on silly high level enchantments. level 5/6 blues are fine. And you really don't need to pull them out. My bank is full of them just from questing in the last 2 zones and dungeons, plus using my kits. Get some protection wards they are cheap if you are worried about the fusing process.

Good point, the cost of high level enchantments are very very high. And the 10 dollar wards to build high level enchants skyrocket the cost of them.

With such a high upfront cost to build theses things, the cost to move them among your gear should be minimal. Or as suggested, the cost reduced to a couple dollar investment only but not reusable.

Right now with the dollar model currently in place and these being one of the most expensive things I have seen in a video game I've played I feel they need to be reusable and cheap to move around.

It's going to be costly to be in the 1% here.
