Previous thread was closed, so please guys, lets try to behave in this one
Quest wasnt banned becouse of stomp-rolling mobs. In a fact, there are not many mobs and every mob is handmaded. There are no crazy packs of mobs and this quest IS NOT farming quest.
This quest was banned becouse of copyright issues (i am quessing here). So i reworked it, changed names and published once again without any references to Spartacus series.
Back to topic:
This is fresh quest now, so search it by name:

Um, wouldn't this be a game mechanic design.............SO shouldn't the entire game of Neverwinter get a ban?
No idea if 'hyborian' is a copyrighted term, but you really need to check everything you use from another work of fiction.
Why not just come up with original stuff.
You do have every female in the quest in minimum clothing so it strikes me someone may have taken exception to that. Not me, I only added the amused comment to the original quest... "lots of scantily clad women." And rated it at 4 stars. Mainly I suppose because it was a bit longer to play through than I expected.
But I'll guess the scantily clad females are the source of the ban. Otherwise it actually seemed to be fairly well paced on about par with any normal mission.

I'm mearly mentioning that I can see someone complaining. It was rather excessive on the under dressed females.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
This exactly. Just for saftey sake. Put more clothes on the slaves. And to avoid the PC police rename slaves to captives. Just to hedge your bets
Too much being politically correct. Don't like the game, don't play. Don't like scantily clad women, dont run this foundry quest.
Exactly, I'm trying to help by pointing out one of the things that might have generated complaints. As I said not from me but I could easily see people who would complain about it. I mean all you have to do is think about those 3 poor girls found in Cleveland last night to know why some people are overly sensitive.
I had no problem with the mission or goal of freeing the slaves and I didn't have a problem with the scantily clad females though I did think that it was a bit on the umm, excessive side. The scantily clad bit I mean.

If, as the OP said, it was banned for copyright, then this is going to wind up the same way. Hyborian, and all things Conan belong to whomever wound up with the rights after Robert E. Howard died, and you're right back where you started. Take your names from D&D literature if you can't come up with something that doesn't seem overly silly to you. Since this is advertised as D&D, you should be able to use things from the setting w/out setting off any flags, I'd think.
Im simply considering the ratings issue. All UGC needs to be teen rated. This is in thier rules. Praying isnt going to harm ratings. Slave girls most likely will. But few can get upset at rescueing captives. A minor change can make huge difference
I liked previous versions of the quest, didn't feel like a "farming" quest, had a story line, purpose to do things, and not just mobs stacked up for XP, so i'm betting it was a better safe than being sued over the Spartacus things. Sad that companies have to be so twitchy, but they do.
For what it's worth, i'm glad you have stuck with it and update it pretty frequently.
Half-nude girls was taken right from foundry (i just maked some tweaks here and there).
It was Spartacus copyright issue (i think).
Anyway, quest should be playable in some time after gm-s checking.

You where wondering what might have gotten version 1 banned and I pointed out that some people take exception to the half naked girls. And yes I know the model for them is in the foundry system but that doesn't always mean it's a wise choice to use it.
On the other claw it is your adventure so build it how you want.

Biggest issue seems to be giving the quest a name that captures that spirit without using pre-existing name.
Spartacus himself was a historical figure... let's just say that some of the other NPCs in the quest were very clearly based on fictional characters created for the TV series, which most definitely do fall under copyright.
You can probably get away with a passing reference to Hyboria (I've not played the new version yet) but if the scenario is chock full of references to Howard's work and comes across as an unauthorised Conan story, then you'll probably have IP problems all other again. My best advice is either use Forgotten Realms names and settings, or come up with some of your own, just to be safe. You can advertise the scenario as having a "Hyborian" or "Spartacus" feel to it in your description, no problem - it's just when the whole thing looks like a derivative work that Cryptic have to take it down for their own protection.
Disclaimer - I am not a lawyer (I'm actually an engineer), but I have had some legal education and discussed IP law with people who are IP lawyers, because that's the sort of sad individual that I am
He already said it was banned for copyright issues. Explain to me how half naked girls taken from the foundry, has anything to do with copyright issues. Thanks.
Foundry is great tool, but not everything should be DnD based.
Hyborean is NOT copyrighted becouse of time passed since it was created ('30 as i remember) - it is simple as that.

You might want to check that. I didn't think Robert E Howard's works had passed into the public domain yet, mostly because Disney's lobbyists keep getting the US Congress to extend the limits on copyright. As far as I know, Funcom had to pay for a licence to use the Conan IP.

BTW: using any Drizzt, Elminster or even Lord Neverember or any name used in-game etc. in quests is prohibited too it seems, becouse of copyrigts.
Even if it is DnD game, foundry makers dont have rights to use names.
Plain stupid.

I thought it fit right in to the theme of the mission and was quite enjoyable, especially the celebration at the end.
Now if I have to fight a 50ft half naked woman, that may be a bit ... well odd.
today I ran it and after the areana the first group up top ganked me.
then I was freeing the slaves from the tents and the giant from the other area ganked me.
I guess he thinks he's a rogue now.
it seems to have been broken with your latest edits.
with the foundry nerf there will not be any reason to do foundry's any more.
just a fyi.
