Everyone is so busy whining about things like exploiters and rogues being op that not enough attention is being drawn to the music not working in foundry missions. Want to know why the exploit maps are so outrageously popular? It's because the majority of the actual good, legitimate quests that people worked on seem BORING AS HAMSTER and UNFINISHED thanks to the music bug. This even goes for the best ones I've played, including the featured ones.
I wouldn't even want anyone to play the quest I made right now because of the music bug. The map is freaking awesome when I play it in Foundry, because the music and sounds work, completing the atmosphere. When I play it in game though I can barely play through to the end without getting bored. I'm sure other publishers feel the same way, especially those working on sound-heavy maps.
As of now, if you enter the foundry, you have two options. You can either play the exploit maps and get to max level in less than an hour, or you can walk around reading dialogue in an eerily silent map for two hours. The battles are basically going to all feel the same without music to set the mood. Click, click, click, click, click, hit e, double-tap a to dodge, click, click, click, right click, hit 1. Repeat.
Fighting the boss at the end of my quest feels the same as fighting the trash mobs at the beginning of the game, despite the much higher difficulty. I end up just button mashing and not caring to even dodge because the fight is not exciting without music, so I end up dying, walking back to the boss, dying again, and ultimately I just grind my way through the end without putting forth any effort, because if it doesn't feel like a boss, why fight like it's a boss?
Also, how can you make a swamp without frogs croaking? How can you make a forest without some bird and cricket sounds? How can you make a haunted graveyard without ghost sounds? You can't. You can put a bunch of trees or tombstones all over the map, but without the sounds it just feels like you're looking at a painting, not playing a game. I could rant about this all day. What makes me so mad is that it was broken three days ago, and is still freaking broken. Three days ain't long enough to fix music in UGC? We might as well quit if it ain't working by tomorrow, guys.

Hate to break it to you, but it's been broken for a lot longer than that, well back into the Foundry beta, and possibly since Foundry alpha.

I can confirm ^
Which means don't expect it tomorrow lol. However, if we just sit here and make this thread 1000 posts long SOMEONE up top has to notice and say... "hey guys, maybe we better fix that sound quick"

Exactly, I'm trying to make as much noise about it as possible so that it somehow gets heard over this "Rogue is op, fix exploit maps" HAMSTER that keeps flooding the forums.

It defied logic that they would go this long without fixing it. You'd think they'd focus more on preserving their Foundry community entirely than on just banning a certain portion of it. I could care less if other people exploit it, I just want to be able to generate good content of my own for my friends to enjoy.
They ARE fixing it, but they've told us that it isn't a bug in the Foundry itself. This means they require cooperation between several different development teams. It seems they've got a somewhat clumsy organizational structure over there, but at least this is what's going on. They've been working on fixing this bug since the week before headstart, so I'd expect a fix at any moment now.

Thanks Tilt... I actually didn't know that. Was it stated in a thread along the way somewhere I imagine?

I certainly hope so. This is driving me crazy.
