Ok so i just started building my first Foundry campaign, really liking the tool so far.

My Big issue with it though is that its VERY limited in what i can do, I want to build a keep with an outer wall and the only way i can find to do that is to stack wall sections 5 high then copy paste to build it, this wouldnt be an issue if it wasnt for the 1500 detail cap -.- I barley have a quarter of my wall done at that.

before ppl start moaning, no i dont want the cap just spamming up to 4billion, i know that would make loading times insane and yes i do know its beta and things will change/get added

My idea was that it would be great if i could build a wall section, 5 high x 10 long out of individual details (so 50 details points) but then click a button to merge them all into one solid unit, 1 detail point, big *** wall.

Obviusly this would be abused to hell so to prevent that, just make it so that it cant be "un-grouped" and the items all have to be the same, so two wall sections is fine to merge, a broom and a house? computer says no.

I really hope somthing is done as I wana build some awsome campaigns but atm the limit is too small for my plans lol

p.s. either that or hurry and add some big *** stone walls in that i can use! :D I wanna build candlekeep already!

During Foundry beta, you would have been able to do this. The budget was reduced to 1500 and the detail cost increased from 1 for anything, to what it is now, which caused all sorts of problems with people's quests suddenly being wildly over budget. In one of my own quests I had to cut a map down by more than half. Cryptic provided and explanation for why they did this. At least one well known person making Foundry content threw up his or her hands and publicly quit.

Basically, you're just going to have to figure out some sort of workaround.

well that sucks :/ tbh there isnt a work around, the wall modles they provide are simply too small :/ lets hope they put it back then
