Make a Quest Item drop off an encounter?

Is it possible to make an item drop off an encounter group? I want players to have to kill a certain group, pick up an item they drop, and return to someone with whom they were speaking previously.

    It's not possible in the Foundry, even though the game itself has you do quests doing this very thing ("bring me some pirate symbols!"). What you have to do is use something the pc can interact with (not kill), and have the item given on dialog.

    Hmm. I can do that. It's possible to make an item appear once an objective is in progress, so I'll do it that way.
