PvP Concerns

I'll try to keep as far away from Class balancing and QQing about which class needs a buff and which need a nerf. That's not what I want to point at with this post.

I'd seriously like as much opinions on the subject as possible. And I'm trying to keep it 90% "complaint free" and would rather focus on constructive criticism.

My main concern is really the core mechanics behind PvP Queing, and the variety offered.

First the Queuing Mechanics:
(This one needs to be fixed before anything else pvp related IMHO.)

As it is, it's plain broken. Can't join a game which is already in play this makes no sens for PvP. So far I've seen Horrors like 2 vs 5,3 vs 5 often.

One player drops the team leaving the team unbalanced, then peoples stays at the fire &/or Run everywhere teamless, like headless chickens, &/or Worst 1 or 2 others just drops the team leaving the game even more unbalanced.

The match-making has to happen in another manner. Building 2 groups then pitting them against one another without the chance of anyone filling the empty spots after the match has started doesn't make any sens.

Make a second PvP Queue, one named along the lines of "Quick Join" : Joins any match already in play with a free Team slot.

Honestly no matter how its made it just needs to be made available to join on-going match.

Secondly, The variety:
For the moment there is only 1 game Mode ; Capture & Defend, and 2 maps for it.

The 2 available Maps really gets old fast. I love PvP, but 7 days after the game is released at level 45 I'm growing bored because its always the same maps.

We need more Game Modes and more maps for each modes.

Capture & Defend is nice. But adding a few modes would greatly improve the PvP experience.

1: Capture the Flag.
2: Last man standing.
3: Team Death Match.
4: Stronghold Vs Stronghold.
5: Sieges.
6: Anything...seriously anything would be better than Just 2 maps.(Don't get me wrong, I like them. But that's no excuse for not wishing for more.)

Another thing that would be great for the pvp experience is not only 5 vs 5. But also 10 vs 10 and maybe even more vs more.

What about 5 vs 5 vs 5 ?

Capture & Defend with more players and more than 3 nodes ?

Why does PvP always "have" to happen outdoor?

Lastly, Why not a PvP foundry ?

Sorry maybe I missed a thread already talking about it, If I did please feel free to refer me to it.

But why not make some "templates" for the available PvP game modes, and make them available for the foundry to see what the community has to offer ?

Outside of that I'm enjoying the game in about all the aspects it's decent and have lots of potential, hope PWE & Cryptic keeps the good work and makes this game even better than it already is.

I am a PvP kind of guy.. and the PvP honestly does suck in this game. I am enjoying the game but still.

I seen "Arena" and got excited. It turned out to be a capture the point BG. I'd like some PvP content TBH

Biggest frustration I run into is a team with and without Clerics. I saw one team with 2 Clerics vs us with none. It really reminded me of Guild War's queuing system where you had teams with Monks (people who won) and without Monks (people who lost).

Replacing disconnected players or those who have left is the priority, though I feel it is worthwhile to also look at the reasons why people leave. As I mentioned elsewhere, I'll probably start to leave matches (at 60) where I solo sign up and get matched against a full premade with two clerics. Losing is fine, getting bullied and stomped without a hint of a chance is not. I'm probably not the only one who feels that way.

I really did enjoy PvP from 10-59, though, and leveling alts through PvP is viable here.
