I've been working on my first campaign(Grimm recruit); at first it all seemed easy-peasy, untill I played it with my lvl 60 GWF, and suddently the easy orcs turned into ogres and since there were some legion devils around I eneded up using many potions; and it wan't pleasant at all. But the ogres were what I wanted so I kept the number of enemies, but spread them on the map and the quest became easier. Since it was a small map, fighting few though monsters one-by-one gave the impression of some sort of duel. As for stacking encounters I decided to keep the deadly mob" for when it was logical to expect them ( if you run into a spider's nest you would expect lots of spiders, right? same with a bandit's hideout)... having experienced quests where 14 mixed werewolves spaw right during a dialogue I realise how frustrating that may be... Apart from stacked encounters there are other ways to make a player cry (traps and cervices or burning pavement )
