A friend told me that if you want NPCs killed you create an encounter get rid of any mobs you don't need and use the custom skin on the mob for the target. Then make a kill X mob in the story line. Like where you make the Quest dialogs. Connect the Kill X to the encounter.

Others of the team have had luck with this option.

Create an enemy encounter and give the individual monsters in the encounter the costume of your NPC.

If they start out as an NPC and later need to be killable, you'll have to disappear the npc and appear the encounter based on some kind of trigger (quest objective complete, etc.)

Thanks. Seems odd they'd make that work that way... but okay! lol

How do you delete unneeded monsters from the encounter? And how do you change their models?

You can't delete individual monsters, but you can move them out of the way. Costumes are changed by selecting the individual enemies in Detail view, not the encounter itself.

I see... Is there a way to make the singular monster into a kill objective or does it have to be the whole encounter?

It's the whole encounter, but there are encounters with only a single monsters in them. Get used to always having your bad guys keep bodyguards though, unless you want to deal with workarounds all the time. It's better for game balance as well. A single enemy is rarely challenging, which is why bosses in this game keep spawning in minions as well.

IIRC, there's some encounters that are only single monsters. Just use one of those, reskinned.

It seems there's a lot that still could be changed with the foundry. The ability to build NPC BBEG would be very nice. Now to figure out how to use a portal as a door to another map... lol
