Drag NPC unable to move mouse

Every time I try and drag and NPC onto my map from the NPC pane my mouse get stuck in the middle of the screen and cannot move no matter what I do and I'm forced to close out of the program to be able to move my mouse again. Is anyone else having this problem or am I kinda stuck not able to make quests?

    Press control + S to free your mouse up and save your map, you can lessen the frequency of this if you have the room closer to the edge where you drag the assets from.
