Cleric PvE DPS

So enjoying the game so far, especialy the Control Wizard but I was thinking of rolling a Cleric. Thing is, I'm not sure of Cleric's dps. Is it good, average, or terrible? I have no problem being an off healer, but my interests lie in dpsing and the idea of a holy smiter that calls down magical judgement is appealing, haha.

So how is cleric dps? Or should I just stick with the Wizard?

    Better than clerics in most games but not a dps class for sure. Damage is by necessity part of what you do bit do not expect to be in top half of dmg dealt.

    I wouldnt bother trying to be a cleric. Im currently one but they are really lame. Your heals totally suck and its really slow to kill things. I would stay with wiz.
