it isn't a proc. it adds your lifesteal a straight percentage point.

ty. is it a good enchant? is it any use? why does it say 'have a chance' if it is not a proc?

bump is it a proc or what? is it worth using a 2% tenebrous enchant over a 120 power on a GWF?

so im at 13k hp now at level 49. with pretty solid gear and a **** load of power my normal hits with weapon masters strike do bout 250 damage on heavily armored enemies. with the teneberous enchant i could be doing an additional 2% of 130000 which is 260 damage. thats with just one teneberous enchant - and this will likely ignore their defense but perhaps do less damage to undead?

the question is - how often does the damned thing proc?

why make an epic enchantment - something they know will be widely available at launch due to nightmare lockboxes (its the only epic enchant on the AH on my server) but be so vague in the description. whats the proc rate? how much does it actually increase your dps by?

alright so i realized there is a combat log.

went into an empty instance and went to the target dummies with a single instance of a tenebrous enchant.

the proc rate over about 200 tries was a religious 1 in 15 hits. at level 60 with a 5.1k gear score with no HP equips it was proccing for 450.i had 22k hp so 2% of 22000 = 440 so it is right on target. the proc rate isnt high.

but one can put this enchant in a number of slots - increasing the proc rate considerably. one could, without stretching onseself too thin, enchant 3 pieces with tenebrous and get a 1 in 5 proc rate. this is not even greater tenebrus which i havent seen yet so dont know the % damage. 450 extra damage every 5th hit. worth it over say 450 power? i dont know you tell me?

Isnt it a weapons only enchant.. so cant be in 3 slots? Even if it could no guarantee of stacking.

I am pretty sure you can fuse these as well. First time is a 40% success rate, 30%, 20% or something like that. I may also be confusing it with another purple enchantment.

its an 'offensive slot' enchant not a weapon slot enchant. you can slot as many as offensive slots you have

there is no reason it wouldnt stack - the only way it could even be a useful enchant is if it stacks. 1/15 strike proc rate on its own if you cant slot others is easily outshadowed by even rank 5 enchants

You can definitely fuse them together. I only have 2 so haven't seen what they are yet.

First fusion is only 20% success rate. I'd hate to think what the others were.

I tried it with normal wards (the ones that just prevent loss) and it popped on 3rd try. They are wanting you to buy the "This wont fail" wards for $$.

alright so i bit the bullet and

    i am happy to say

    it does stack

and my theory of around 3 enchants being the sweet spot seems to be dead on

i have an epic necklace sword and knot all enchanted with teneberous

with EVERY hit of WMS i am getting a GUARANTEED proc or TWO of around 450 extra necrotic damage!

    that is really ****ing insane!

i like this enchant! the thing is you need to give about 3 slots to it

when people realize the enchants will be worth a lot again. so stack em up

people dont know how to use em yet so they are devaluing them heavily

they need to be stacked, and 3 is the sweet spot

you heard it here first folks!

additionally, it procs off EVERYTHING including non-contact skills like GWF Roar. It even procs off plaguefire enchant procs!

I am getting a steady average of 3 procs with 23k hp of 458 necrotic damage (probably bypasses a lot of normal physical resistant monster defense) with a SINGLE WEAPONS MASTERS STRIKE

The WMS is doing around 1k - 1-2k damage on its own. The teneberous enchants are adding 1.5k. It is giving more than 200% DPS!

im giving away my secret lalalala

no power enchant will result in this kind of dps increase by taking only 3 slots

    the range is 200-250% dps

ok it is really ridiculous. I am testing it with a single hit. Indomitable Battle strike. I am getting SIX PROCS off one indomitable battle strike. 2.4k extra damage on a 6k single target nuke

    are you listening guys?
