I'm to not start as a GWF as planned, and try the GF instead, but im worried that tanks have a PvE focus, and that if i build for PvP then i'll be gimpy in pvp and vice versa, any GF's know if that is the case? Or are all the paths somewhat good for either ? I havnt looked too in depth at the trees because i havnt used a GF enough to know the skills that well.

GF's in pvp can pull off some amazing things if you don't mind being a team player.

You won't be on the top of the list as one of these guys, but you can change the entire battle simply by holding a position. Best defenders and position holders in the game, even in pvp.

How does power scale? The Conquerer skill tree looked good for pve and pvp, and 100% extra power when at full block meter, but in beta i heard power didnt give a lot.

I sure was expecting the get alot more damage from that last Conquerer feat, so yeah...power does not seem to do that much for damage.

As for pvp, I have been doing quite alright. You just have to make sure to use block effectivly to negate damage and cc but you wont top the meters.
Granted, I have not done that much pvp myself seeing as the higher brackets have to few people at the moment and it takes an insane amount of time to get some pvp action.

Agreed they are a team player class in the first place... Play as such and they are great in pvp.

GF is more useful in PvP than in PvE imo. We'll see if that changes post patch though. Solo questing at later levels with a GF is just painful.
