I have looked and looked for information about the Companions in Neverwinter Online and have fallen short getting questions answered.
So please use this thread to post, link, discuss anything about Companions.
I need more info about them.
I did participate in the last beta and found no reason as a Control wizard to have anything else but 3 x tanks as companions.(for people that don't know at later levels your companion can be gone a long time for training.I think when I was lvl 30 my fighter was gone for 56min and I can only imagine at lvl 60 it will be hours). When one was off training I would use a spare until my main came back.By level 30 I could have 2 tanks training and the 3rd fighting with me.
Is there ever a time we can use more than one Companion?
So are animal companions going to be as good as a racial companions? What will make you keep using a panther or dire wolf over say a purple level fighter?
So please add info here for all the people like myself that need to know more about this aspect of the game.
Yes, for soloing the tank companions are the best for a CW.
But in groups you want either a cleric or a passive stat-giver one. Or maybe a damage dealer.
There's a variety in companions because every class has a different playstyle thus requiring different types of companions.

Sorry can't tell you much about individual companions as there's next to no info on them until you get/buy them
I love to see a full list of companions with what they got powers wise.

During Beta I remember getting a Green Uncommon healer companion as a Reward was it lvl 20-25 I can't remember. So if you aint in a hurry for a healer companion you'll get one as a reward drop later.Don't go wasting the money on a common one before then if you dont really use a healer companion.

Oh yeah you get a pick of the basic companions (Tank Healer Striker Wizard) + dog (in BW3 only way to get dog I believe) at about lvl 16 and later at around 20-25 you get a choice of tank or healer.

Yeah, that would be nice. I didn't get a lot of time to play during any of the beta weekends, so I know almost nothing about the companion system.

The best you'll get until you find out in game for yourself.
Very nice! Thanks for the link!
