Gloaming Cut not working as intended (Trickster Rogue)

So I reached level cap for this weekend on my rogue and found out that the ability "Gloaming Cut" from the forced paragon tree is not working. I tried for about an hour on random mobs to get the ability to function.

Ability Details:

"A shadowy Strike that briefly grants stealth if you kill a target with it."

Regardless after an hour of testing this ability for its slow speed and lack of actual function it seems pretty useless right now since it does not stealth you ever after any kill.

No its working becuase it refills your stealth meter if you kill a mob with it.
It doesn't put you into stealth automatically.
If you are in stealth and kill with it, it'll refresh the stealth bar giving you 5 more seconds of stealth, if you kill outside stealth you can immidiatly hit tab to go back into stealth.

Should be read worded since that is fairly misleading

I think the description is a little misleading, when it says it will add a percentage to your stealthbar, it means it adds that percentage of *what you currently have*.

A Gloaming Cut when your stealthbar is at 10% is far less effective than when your stealth is at 80%, at least that's what I've noticed.

Yes, it works while stealthed and I think the idea is nice, especially with the feat that gives stealth% with every Gloaming Cut. I've tried it, but I couldn't get it to work and found it actually kinda crappy. It's supposed to be an opener which tops off your stealth, and that's nice for an Encounter, but too much a one-trick-pony for an At-Will, IMO.

I was looking forward to this power & found myself disappointed by it as well, the only situation I've found it useful on is when fighting weak thrash & all of them already hit by something

    Ah, that is misleading.

If it was 25% of your stealth bar; but 25% of what you currently have is kind of trash, considering that you won't always be able to kill targets as soon as you stealth.

Mind you, the bar is skewed so I may be basing it on an optical illusion.

The best use I could make of it was to 'top off' my stealth after finishing a small group. It's a decent gap closer and I usually got the first hit so I could stealth and then dodge or attack.

But considering that it's only one hit that takes a while to set up, compared to the damage of duelist fury and range of clouds of steel, I think it's a very poor trade-off.

    2cents worth though
