Friend keys

So I gave a friend a key, but it's still not allowing him a download or the ability to patch once installed it comes up with the account error thing at the bottom. This is different than mine where I get all the way to the login screen and then says you're not able to play right now.

Is there some place he needs to opt in for this weekend or something?

I am a bit confused, as in order to not be able to patch, he would first need to download it. So, was he able to download and install it but when he tries to log in, it gives him an account error?

Make sure he is logging in with his PWE Account Username. This is not his @handle, Display Name, Forum Name, or Email Address. It is the username he uses to log into the Website and the Forums with.

yeah, I was able to transfer the torrent downloader to him so he got the install, but now he can't patch.

Is he getting this exact message in the launcher, where the patching progress normally would appear?
"Account error, please click here for more information"

If so, his account is not flagging for access, as this is what my non-beta account spews at me yet my Moderator account does not. What beta weekend did he choose to participate in?

Please disregard that bit as it may be irrelevant as I'm told that when a friend fist logs into a weekend, it should automatically flag them for that weekend and lock them out of the rest.

As for the Account Error, I've informed the Devs, hopefully they'll be able to get in this forum and check things out!
