Character development question

Hello all,

Just recently stated following the game, but long time RPG player. I had a quick question on classes (more like requesting clarification).

I saw on the dev tracker that only 5 "classes" will be available at launch....2 kinds of fighters, a control mage, priest, and thief.

Does this mean that we will not be able to actually develop/design our characters with specific traits/perk/abilities (i.e. they will be chosen for us depending on the "class" we chose)? Is there any freedom of character development? If not, is this really a "D&D" game in regards to character development, or simply an MMO set in the Fallen Realms?

I am using D&D online as a reference for a "D&D MMO", and was hoping that this would be a "new and improved" DDO, however it is appearing more like a hack and slash in Fallen Realms, without any D&D character development...

If someone could please give me some clarification (preferably showing that I am mistaken in my assumptions) I would greatly appreciate it!

Here's hoping for a great game!

Kith

So, I did a bit more searching through the forums...seems I was correct in my assumptions.

Sigh...too bad, I don't want to play a "control" wizard, I want to play a "fry everything that moves and shoot MORE THAN ONE MAGIC-EFFING-MISSLE" wizard....stupid 4e....

    Oh well....

That game is created from reetards...its not actually D&D is mix...CW is completely shiit because i take that character i think is some special..but in Neverwinter all Characters is wizards and x50 times stronger than Control Wizard..that is reetardnes of developers...the Trickster Rogue can hit only one person but he dealing x2 x3 times the damage of Control Wizard or other characters which have mass damage abilities..but even knife throwing from Rogue making huge damage and in PVP the CW can only hide and hit but the Tricksters have ability to be invisible and wizard not and PVP CW skills not working on Rogue after the patches from reetards, when trickster is invisible he making x10 or x20 damage to others he killing me with one or two hits like that..with the same gear in dungeons the Tricksters making 600000+ as summary damage when all others dont have even half of that and have skill to disable the skills of other character then the wizard can't hit at all,the wizard dont have good armor its not like in Skyrim when you can craft the tank armor with magic abilities and even dont have a good spell for armor..in PVP the tanks can kill you only with their shield one or two blows and you are dead..their shield blocking everything from any direction!!I really expect the Elder Scrolls online where you can build your character like in Skyrim, that game have a loot of stupidity developing on it!And is not soo free like they saying! In professions you only can buy the assets for 16$ if you want to create some good gear!I just can't imagine how stupid is the game developers who build that unfair game logic! The game is crashing every time and some daily quests even not working...i think some 16y.o. kids amateurs develop that game!
