This explains the concept that Businessmen men are using. This is a business and there main goal is to make money. Game developer usually are people that like to make games and pallets stuff like that.Money is a side affect of there endeavors but business men like to make money. They don't care how they do it.
Now from look of things other company’s have done the same thing as PW Marvel heros being one of them. They know there not going to sell a lot of the $200.00 packages they are more interested in selling the $60 packages.
you can tell by the contents of the packages because if look at them the $20 dollar package it leave a lot to be desired and you do not get early beta accesses.
On the other end of thespectrum there is the $200.00 package it has a lot but is lack luster with a $200.00 price Tag.
Then you get the $60 package it has every thing the $20 package has.
There are a lot of attributes of the $200.00 package at fraction of the cost and you also get into the early beta.

Yeah i am encouraged by the rise of free to play. Not everyone has the money to put down 60 bucks for every new game that comes out and true free to play gives you the option to spend money on things you want rather then just paying to keep up a subscription :-). Its a win win for everyone really. And with high quality games switching to free to play (though some still have a subscription option) it looks like more options are opening up all the time :-).
except that the 60$ pack does not have everything the 20$ pack has infact the two best items in the 20$ pack are kept solely for that pack and the 200$ one
the 20$ pack contains an amulet and also bag expansions and the 60 dollar pack contains neither of them while the 200$ pack gets bag expansions as well
Sure theres pros and cons but I believe its just gonna be just one section of gaming. PWE and Gamigo are intresting companies to follow. It'd be fun to see those two to merge.

I love the freemium system. I don't get a lot of time to play stuff online and when I'm just trying something out I like not having to spend money for something I'm not going to use.

I'd rather buy what I want to, but fully support this marketing strategy. Also, I couldn't get one of the slides to load when I viewed it. Still an amazing presentation if you're into that kind of thing.
