ok one of the things i really love about creating content or playing content is the ability to craft and name items that drop within your campagn or dungeon.
Someone Pm's me for instant in game of NWO (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away) he says "dude that sword/helm is awesome."which quest did you get it from." Firstly this is a nice way of reffering people to UGC.
I likely the idea of being able to name and design the skin of magical weapons and armour it adds to the lore and over all role play of th game.
Although the foundry content will not give us the ability to craft weapons i truely hope at some point they change this. I do not wish to craft the stats on the item. I do not wish to create uber weapons. There are easy ways to do this without sacrificing the games integrity. For instance lets say a level 30 elite dungeon weapon or item can give you 3 modifiers or a level 20 easy dungeon give you 1 modifier or a level 60 elite dungeon gives you a level 60 item with 3 modifiers.
Naming creating items is well... its cool;
Twinkle
Icing death
Taulmaril
AgeisFang
Kozah's Needle
Cloak of the Crow
Claw
and im sure there are plenty other which people can think of.
What does everybody think??

I would like to be able to create/name items. I'm not 3D modeler but importing the model would be nice as well. In this video they mention they are still thinking about how to do it. He mentions a Chinese menu where you get X points to add to the weapon.
Personally I think that's the best idea. You have various stats/effects/bonuses/models available depending on the level of the dungeon that each cost a set number of points to add. Stats would be a 1 to 1 so a 10 point item could have +10 str or +5 dex and +5 agi but say there is a 25% chance to snare target that can be added to bow or dagger that cost 8 points to add. You could add that and then 2 more stat points.
That makes the most logical sense to me and would be the easiest to balance in the future by raising/lowering point cost of effects. Every quest needs to pass a review before it gets added which should filter out most of the stupidity that will come through anyways.

Yeah, that vid was what really got me interested and salivating for Neverwinter. I knew about it and was going to play but wasn't holding my breath for it until after I actually saw what they want to do with the Foundry. I'm more excited about UGC in a MMORPG than the games actual features...
BTW im totally down to having to buy the skins of any item weapon off the zen store or whatever even if it is to unlock it for my character as long as we get like 5 basic skins for each weapon.
P.s please no legendary wow weapons that look like christmas trees. thanks

But... but... but... my first scenario was going to be the Christmas treants of DOOOM which rewarded a legendary 2 handed sword with a Christmas tree shaped model and gingerbread colored texture!
