Hello all,

I'd like to introduce myself and I'll try to keep it short. My name's Peter, and I guess you can call me a rpg vet of some kind. My first "rpg" experience came from "the Lone Wolf" book series. It was the kind of book where depending on your choices you'd flip to a different section in the book and so on. I think D&D also had a few of those books with "I, Strahd" coming to mind. I got into regular D&D in high school in 1990. Before long I was in the D&D club (yes, I'm a nerd... duh!). After D&D I tried Shadowrun which I loved, Vampire: The Masquerade (also loved), Marvel Universe, Highlander, TNMT, etc. Also got into Magic: The Gathering (Still curse the kid that traded my mox ruby for some BS cards when I was just starting out).

My first PC rpg experience came from the Gold Box D&D games like Pools of Radience, Pools of Darkness etc. In 1992 when AOl was still 1.0 and DOS based, I came across "Neverwinter Nights" and was instantly hooked. That's where Jhiieri was born. Started as a lowly Drow wine-maker and ended out being Qu'el'faruk lueth Ilharn d'Rilynt'tar. That's House Wizard and Patron of Rilynt'tar, 5th House of TOL. I was very sad when the game was finally pulled in 1997, but was glad because AOL was charging by the hour back then.

After that, I bounced. UO, EQ, GuildWars, FF XI, and many others I can't even remember. I was very excited when DDO came around, but eventually the quests got longer and longer. That's hard for someone my age to achieve. With my own family now, I just don't have the time for really long missions... lol. When I read in Game Informer about this game being more fast paced AND free-to-play(as I said earlier, with my own family, I cannot really afford monthly charges for a game), I came on as soon as I could to check it out. And here I am....

And sorry for not keeping it as short as most of you would like...

    You know how hard it is for me to properly translate Common to Drow and vice versa? Why couldn't it be Draconic?!

    In that case, I think I won't expose myself to prying eyes 'least they laugh at all my funny hats. The more oNwn'ers that play the better chance this game might turn into something good.

    You were in Rilynt'tar, eh? I founded that House as Ilharess Jhaelryna, before she became Valsharess. =)


    Oh, and who let Metron in here? I'll have to dust off Zor'ak and give that guy a good stabbing, because he deserves it.

    As far as shard goes, I heard that Mindflayer was unofficially picked as the RP shard. I'm not sure how much traction that got, but I'd heard that repeated from a few sources.

    The shards will merge in time, yes? Already got my two rolled up... good to see you, Dalninuk! RP will happen once we've all settled in. Still learning how to stay alive.

    Oh, and will have my ooc dalharil and her abbilen with us... Traditions never die, eh?

    Yes, it has been stated that the devs' intent is to merge the shards at some point in the future. So being on different shards should only be a temporary issue. (Although who knows what the actual timeframe will be).

    Anyway it's good to see you are still around and gaming, Emmy..er...Xola. ;)

    Okay, I saw the reference to the old go to page 32 if you do X or to 44 if you do y. I remember those in elementary school. I think that's how I got into D&D as the odd girl who hung around the nerds.

    The shards have merged you can no longer avoid me! You can join the oNWN chat group by clicking the little dealybob gear thinger in the top left of your chat window then clicking Custom Channels then entering oNWN in the field there ;D
