I know Cryptic's intent with the build specifics in classes is to lock down specifics or sub roles depending on the build, but it all depends how the build is literally built in the MMO game and if we have multiple builds per class. This is something initially that will shape the party system at release and not simply allow for a delay. Time will tell at release.

A very good point and for this I think some logic like "Primary stat of the class should always be 18, others can be rearranged" and a few more rules should do. Customization is important part of D&D and it will cause a lot of disappointment among many if some kind of stat assignment is not allowed to players.

Lets see how it turns out to be

While I won't say it isn't D&D if you don't get some stat assignment, it'll definitely make people a little down about the game. The best part is arguing with yourself over what stats you want more of. "Making a monk, do I want a higher dex, or a higher con?" While that might sound like a ridiculous choice for classic monks, it makes all the difference if you're playing a defense or attack monk. Completely off-topic, sorry.

Good way of making party system is a creating board where you link quest name to make name of party, you should have option to select slot for class you looking to join your party and character lvl so....

    Party Master:
    quest name "orcs balls"
create party "orcs balls" > character lvl set 17-20 > slot 1 party master then he can change what class he need for what slot (slot secon warrior, slot 3rd wizzard etc. etc.)

    Normal player"

link quest name > join quest party or wait in queue if there is none

I would like to see them allow you to mix it up. 18 for main stat for everyone makes for a cookie cutter game.
This is one of the standard way to assign attributes in a pen and paper game - using a standard array. You can still change it while levelling up as you get more ability points to assign to any stat of your choice.

Aye, I like D3's "smart grouping", its same what they're gonna use for Elder Scroll ONline too. I also like Rift's "join public group" button what appears if theres enough people around you.
