This "bug" is just one of many that Cryptic (individual programmers) have been producing for years. But it is always the players who are blamed and punished. Even ARC support, when asked, said it was a mistake that only two characters per account received the package.

Cryptic support has no clue about the games. 9/10 times, whatever they said or claimed were wrong. I had to keep on correcting them, usually, 3 to 4 times and even with presentation of evidence right from the beginning which they did not bother to read or to understand or has the ability to understand. Usually, whatever their support say, it means absolutely nothing.

So, now we have to change our default way of playing?
I don't mind needing to temporarily change gathering all the quests on all the characters before running all the quests, but this being punished for normal game play because someone failed to check things and inform the players beforehand is malarkey.
...now I have to worry that saving outdated quests might become against the rules because of some untested thing in the future.
...and what about the players that didn't log into discord before playing on the 16th...? It's not like everyone checks the site every hour of every day or even has access to discord.
So here I am wondering if I'm going to be "sanctioned" because I didn't read the announcement before I played that day.
Which many players didn't see until someone shared it on facebook.

If you received an email yesterday, you are not 'punished'. If you did not receive an email yesterday, you are 'punished' by not getting extra 5 Auril's Favour and you are most likely still dozens Auril's Favour ahead of those who received the email.
