    Since you did not write or say anything to describe your 'bug', I assume what you want to say is: the amount of the currency does not double in your campaign bar.

    If this is the case, it is not a bug. You need to check your 'Riches' to check how much currency you actually get. If you did, you would see it was doubled. The 2x event is to allow you to get double currency. It is not to about hitting the cap of the week faster. Your cap of the week (shown in campaign) is 175. The 2x means you should get 350 for the week (check your 'Riches' in inventory) during 2x and not still just 175 (which is not doubled).
