I like the idea of fighting against enemy parties, like in the Cragmire Crypt. There are different behaviours and patterns here, like a player party. This gives variety and you have to think of different strategies to win. Unfortunately, the party in the crypt is very weak and also an exception. At the same time, enemy parties are an essential part of every role-playing game, ideally a real challenge for the heroes, in contrast to the standard opponents like orcs or undead.
Therefore, I would like to encourage the developers to implement enemy parties. This would open up a wide range of design possibilities. In addition, these could be embedded in a story so that the motivation of the fight becomes clear. An arena with fighters from different countries would also be possible here.
What do you think of this idea?
