Why does PM (Private Message) say can't link in public channel?

Anyone know why LINKS are forbidden in PM, it's not a public channel; yet claims they forbidden in public channel. Yet someone just linked items in a Private Message (PM) to me just fine, yet I do SHIFT (CLICK) and gives the...

"[15:03][Error]Links are forbidden in this public channel. Try using the Trade channel instead

If it was WORKING as it should, Private Messages are NOT public channels. They need to FIX this for sure.

    Hey, before you send the PM, make sure you aren't in the zone chat, otherwise you'll get that error message. Switch to say or some other channel.

    Oh is that why, yes I may have been in ZONE while in Vallenhaus area, yet I wasn't trying to send the PM to Zone but in a PM.

    Still likely it reads your current channel not IF it's a PM being used. Okay, I'll remember that--thank you!
