A lot of changes in sight, moreover a brand new class, but what about the wizards?
We're complaining since ages (since mod 17), arguing, proposing but we never get any answer. Sometimes, we get nerfed, sometimes we get a new power or a power modification, but never any communication about it.
The gameplay is dated, average dps is too low, many powers are bugged and too slow, many feats are useless, we have too much control powers, we lack aoe at-will powers... Smolder should be the spine of the thaumaturge, now it's only a gadget.
Typically, achieving the hell pit with a wizard is an extra difficulty. In dungeon runs with a party, all mobs are dead before you finished casting Fireball or Steal Time.
So, what's about the wizard class? Or maybe is it also on the delete list?
Funny, at one point, I remember the game jokingly being called "Never Win TR" because of how bad TR was...
And now, it's Never Wizards...
First two years, people called it CWO (Control Wizard Online) and at the same time denied that TR even existed in PVE but that doesn't make up for how the balance is now. Once a class is down, they stay down for a long long time.

The wizard was great on mod 16 release. Too powerful ofc, but adjusting the magnitudes would have done the job. What annoys me the most is that 2-3 times a year, wizard gets a slight modification (magnitude buff, single feat or power overhaul...) but without coherence.
And too many feats, powers and class features and just anachronistic remains of pre mod 16 CW. Magnitudes are too low, same for self buffs. Gameplay is too slow, without any originality and brainless, which could fit with the barbarian but not with the wizard!
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

Yes we love our orbs. I think that’s why wizards walk funny. Frozen or electrified orbs.
