Some news broke today about this being last PVP season under current format, so far PVP community is worried about devs taking out the season system a long time before replacing it with anything. There is no timeline given as to when the PVP stream or updates will occur but season 14 is supposed to be the last PVP season.
Some Xbox players think removing the season system/rewards with no replacement ready will kill PVP on their platform.
PC also is primarily getting farmed for rewards in its current state. The PVP regulars will stick around but PVP population on PC would take a hit too. We will have only 1 match in progress at a time at best on PC and the timeframes PVP ques can pop during will probably shrink, until the replacement happens.
PS4 will probably whether the storm better than the other 2 platforms.
Some players are treating this news more optimistically and are just glad to see a chance to get much needed changes made to PVP.
In a nutshell, might be smarter for Cryptic to leave current season system and rewards in place until there is a replacement actually ready, instead of going ahead and removing it with no replacements or updates ready to go. If there is some other plan we are missing due to lack of information, would be good to know more.
