I bet it's not a bug. Vampiric Embrace (and any healing skill, really) is now going to be very powerful, and may be the most important skill you have if you are a Soulweaver. I'm just guessing here, as I haven't gotten back on my warlock since the update yet, but based on what I'm seeing with my cleric, soulweavers are going to be in high demand now. The magnitude of heals is passing through much higher modifiers after the patch... look at your healing out% now! Even with no specific gear or boons healers can output very high heal numbers.

It has indeed been increased but as ive played with sw it doesnt really seem any different than prepatch as for vampiric embrace I wouldnt use it on SW cause it costs way too much for what its worth, I was talking about Dps warlock considering all magnitudes were increased except for vampiric embrace (also SW heal abilties have the same magnitude as they had)

Maybe I have a weird build, but Vampiric is the cornerstone of my soulweaver. A damage skill that also heals me and my allies within 80 ft? And BTW, it also cleanses negative effects, too? Sign me up! Everything else was on CD and didn't use soulweave. I think I have BoVA and Wraith's Shadow? Been a while, I forget exactly. But I didn't have problems healing or managing soulweave before the patch. That might be very different now.

Thats a very Interesting build I personally use Revitalize, Warlock's bargain and Soulstorm because of the Heal over time they both apply from Feypact Its a roughly 500 magnitude heal over time for 12 seconds
Holy molly, i think im the only Soulweaver that actually HATES Vampiric Embrace and Warlock's Bargain .-.
I only use VE in boss fights that FORCE me to use it and never WB cuz i can do more healing having my Lifespark around than sacrificing it for a looong time for just.. what? one revitalize or soulstorm and then go bankrupt again? No thank you. If WB was like before it would be my core power tho, it's nice to have a healing power that is aoe and don't required you to aim.
In the dps path i was having 0 problems even at the elite ones at avernus. Btw, they might not increased the mags of VE cuz it would help the soulweaver and that would give the other classes something to rage and get buffs.
The meta it's just a guideline. And guidelines are boring.

VE is situationally very good. It hits hard and has the benefit of being the only lock heal that doesn't require targeting of any kind (though it does require an enemy target). The problem of course is that it is expensive, meaning it works best as an emergency switch if a daily isn't available, but must be used sparingly.
WB is underpowered, and IMO, not worth playing, so I'm there with you shugensha. Wish they'd return it to it's glory days.
Revitalize should be the backbone of a lock's HoT rotation, but the combat change has severely compromised this as CA dmg is now slaughtering dps's much faster than a HoT strategy can support. This puts locks temporarily in a challenging position until another tweak occurs or the entire player base adapts. Anecdotally, Revitalize seems to be even less effective now on burst, and it wasn't particularly good before.
