Long waits for The Protector's Speech.

Is anyone else having long waits for the protectors speech? In eight hours I got into it four times. I would select the skirmish and do the other quests. Each character would take 10-15 minutes to do; no skirmish. Sometimes I would join; but it would count down and dump me.

it is due to the way that public skirmish queuing was changed in neverwinter, requiring 3 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer. so as keru said, you can bypass the role restriction by doing a private queue (advertising for a group specifically for protectors speech event).

you are probably dps role - that is the most common role and I find that it usually does take 10-15 minutes of waiting. if you switch your build to a heal role, the event queue is almost automatic - it is the role that is most "in demand".

I ended up doing it 3 times solo. While it scales you down to 40, the mobs are level 40 also. However it is long and hard, if you want to work your butt off the bonus ranks seem to have no effect on rewards. I suggest teaming up in parties and que it up in private.

Even my weak and powerless Paladin solo it in 7 minutes 15 seconds to get gold. That is still faster than waiting to make a group and wait for the queue. I thought queue up as a tank would be faster. It was not.

What rewards are you guys looking to get running this skirmish. I solo'd it a few times and basically just got the renown currency.

I run it once per day per toon in order to finish the daily quest to get 3 bounty boxes in total. Yes, running a merchant would get 3 bounty boxes faster.

It does have random drop such as a unbound throne.

Soloing it is okay, I just think applying party restrictions for stuff like this is incredibly obnoxious.

Cryptic must enforce the "Holy Trinity".

enforcing 3xdps, 1 heal 1 tank for this is just silly. Anyhow, it is easy enough to bypass the problem. Run it solo if you are strong enough, or just do a "+event" in /zone or /lfg, and you should be in a private group almost immediately.

You can also get the unbound thrones that you can sell on the auction house
