Can't Delete Companions

It doesn't appear to be possible to delete companions you've equipped ever since mod 16 went live. You also can't equip a higher rank version of a companion you already own at a lower rank.
This is very annoying since its often cheeper to throw out the green quality version of a companion and buy a new one at a higher rank than it is to upgrade the green companion.
Please fix this,
